Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner – “My priorities for suburban Brisbane, and what the Olympics will mean for our city.”
About this event
Fresh from successfully winning the bid for the 2032 Olympic Games, Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner’s commitment to suburbia remains very much a priority. In his recent Civic Cabinet reshuffle, he renamed the City Planning portfolio “City Planning and Suburban Renewal.” Plus, his latest budget speech proudly announced that “we are unapologetic that our focus is on the suburbs of Brisbane.” Council will spend $3.1 billion of its $3.6 billion budget in the suburbs.
So what does all this mean for city shaping, development, suburban renewal opportunities, and the growth of the city? And how will the Olympics preparations affect the shape and nature of our city in the future?
This is the opportunity for Suburban Alliance members, supporters and the wider industry to hear first-hand from this proudly suburban Lord Mayor of Brisbane.
