Event

This launch event invites you to explore ideas with our expert panel and to workshop a hypothetical suburban makeover.

About this event

Suburbia hasn’t had a great reputation for design excellence. What are the challenges, and how can we overcome them? What obstacles get in the way, and how might revitalised suburban centres look, perform, and contribute to the life of their community?

This joint series between Suburban Futures and the Australian Institute of Architects explores the opportunities.

Future events will workshop specific design challenges— from industrial sites to suburban streets, the high street and the town centre.

This Suburban Futures event is a cocktail style function therefore drinks and canapes are included in the ticket cost.
